Brown sugar scrub

Brown sugar is dark, unbleached raw sugar. In some country it is known as Demerara sugar, raw sugar, gula merah or gula jawa.

These are bundle of brown sugar that I saw at Phuket Wet Market.
I love the smell of caramel.

To make the brown sugar body scrub, u have to mix 2 parts of brown sugar, 1/2 part olive or almond oil, some dried lavender or dried rose petals. Blend well and keep it in a mason jar.

Your skin will easily glow after using this scrub due to high content of AHA but don't worry, it won't peel your skin off as the oil will keep it moist.

The humectants properties of honey nourish and moisturize the skin. You can use honey on both face and body. In Malaysia, 3/4  of honey production are from Orang Asli..Honey has been traditionally been used to cover open wounds in order to soften scar tissue and encourage the growth of new skin.

On your face.

1. Massage runny honey - with a squeeze of lime for astringent purposes or some ground oatmeal if you like a rougher texture - into damp skin for 15 minutes.
2. Rinse your face with warm water to leave it feeling soft and peeled.
3. Mix Bedak Sejuk Muntah Belut with a teaspoon honey and lime juice. Put it on your face as a mask. Honey is an astringent & relaxant, Lime or Lemon juice will lighten any scars n has brightening effect. Leave it on your face for 20 mins or till dry. Remember to do this treatment while lying on your back. This will gives maximum result. (if u put on your mask and walk around, doing housework remember the gravity allows early sagging face)

Body.

1. Cover body with honey and sit in a room. Psst..remember to bring a bottle of honey whenever u head to the spa:)
2. Shower and feel how soft your skin is..

KISS ME HONEY HONEY KISS ME....

Do u ever know the benefits of honey..HONEY the madu lebah lah..no..not that kind of Honey I am talking about. Almost every country produces honey..and each country has its main and special floral honey varieties and quality.

Honey has a great anti aging effect. Throughout the centuries legendary beauties like Cleopatra and Poppea, wife of Roman Emperor Nero have used raw honey as part of their skin and body treatments to keep them looking youthful. This natural healing agent contains an enzyme called glucose oxidase, that when combined with water, produces hydrogen peroxide, a mild antiseptic.  In addition to the glucose oxidase enzyme, honey also contains antioxidants and flavonoids that may function as antibacterial agents. Honey is also a great natural moisturizer for dry and parched skin. A humecant, it is able to attract and retain moisture, and rebuild the moisture level in the skin without making it oily.

Honey provides a calming effect without irritating the skin, and helps replenish necessary skin moisture, especially during the winter months. This is why the golden liquid is such a popular anti aging skin care ingredient in many commercial moisturizing products including cleansers, creams, shampoos, shower gels, and conditioners. And because it’s so gentle, it is suitable for sensitive skin and baby care products.

NATURAL BEAUTY

Long limbs and vital statistics are minor contributors to the beautiful body. Much more important is the state of mind that sits on top. While there is barely a woman alive who is content with her natural shape, every woman can improve her body by upping the respect that she pays to it. This is achieved by taking time for herself - a vital part of life that most of us ignore.

Why not start the day with
1) drinking some plain water to detox your body
drink juice is  good as long it is not a source of sweet fruit / root/ veggies.

2) resting a while, meditate or perform prayer to rest your mind

3) prepare light breakfast ..do u know that if u start yr breakfast at 7.30am sharp, the metabolic rate start at 8.00am..at it is easier for the body to burn the fat. And if want to burn more fat, eat some fibre at 6.30pm, just right before dinner. (psst..this info I adapted from Health series on TV by dr. oz)

4) do a mini facial, clean, scrub n light mask before putting some make up..remember look good n feel good!

GALVANIC FACIAL

Galvanic facials use a direct galvanic electrical current to introduce water-soluble substances through the skin's surface in an effort to improve ingredient absorption and moisture retention. Galvanic facial treatments are best offered for spa–goers with dry, dehydrated skin, though it also aids in treating those with oily complexion due to its effective removal of congestion.

Why get a galvanic facial?
Spa-goers can bring new life to their skin with a galvanic facial. This particular type of facials isappropriate for most skin types, whether oily, normal, or dry. It boosts the effectiveness of any skin treatment, and because water-soluble substances are presented to the skin, it increases the skin’s ability to absorb, allowing the active ingredients of the facial as well as skin products to penetrate deeper. If you have a dry complexion, or if your skin is in desperate need of hydration, a galvanic facial treatment is a good choice because it increases moisture retention. Also, if you have problem skin, this treatment is beneficial because it’s targeted at eliminating clogged pores and reducing oils that can lead to acne.

The benefits to receiving a galvanic facial are numerous. Along with hydrating the skin, this facial is said to counteract complexion dullness brought on by ageing or stress, eliminate sebaceous blockage and congestion (major causes of blemishes), increases circulation, and create a healthier glow. Galvanic facials are also a good
anti-aging treatment for those who want a fresher look because they are non-invasive and aim at tightening and firming the skin and softening lines and wrinkles, resulting n a plumper, smoother look.

Good to know
Having a galvanic facial is a painless procedure, though some people say they experience a slight tingling sensation. Because there is no downtime necessary, spa-goers may opt for this facial treatment during their lunch hour. Galvanic facials are not for everybody, including those with heart conditions, pace makers, braces, and those who have undergone major metal dental work.

Galvanic treatments are not just categorized as a facial service. They can also be used for the entire body, mainly the hips, arms, thighs, and stomach, to target cellulite reduction, improve firmness, and increase circulation.

MYOFASCIAL MASSAGE

WHATT???? IS THERE ANY FACIAL IN IT TOO?

NO - LAH..

Myofascial Massage Guide

Get balanced with Myofascial release...Used to help those with injuries or chronic pain that can be attributed to the injured muscle fibers that cause the tightening and shortening of the fascia, the thin tissue that surrounds every muscle and organ in the body, Myofascial releases are great for athletes.

SO...WHAT IS MYOFASCIAL MASSAGE
Myofascial release is stretching of the fascia, the thin tissue that covers all the organs of the body. This tissue covers every muscle and every fiber within each muscle. When muscle fibers are injured, the fibers and the fascia surrounding it become short and tight. All muscle stretching, then, is actually stretching of the fascia and the muscle, the myofascial unit. This uneven stress can be transmitted through the fascia to other parts of the body, causing pain and a variety of other symptoms in areas you often wouldn't expect. Myofascial release treats these symptoms by releasing the uneven tightness in injured fascia. Feedback from the  body tells the therapist how much force to use, the direction of the stretch, and how long to stretch. Only small areas of muscle are stretched at a time. Sometimes the therapist uses only two fingers to stretch a small part of a muscle.  Feedback that the therapist receives determines which muscles are stretched and in what order.

Why get a myofascial release treatment?
Myofascial release therapy is a technique designed to soothe clients with soft-tissue ailments. Through a combination of stretching and massage, therapists work to relieve tension in the fascia. Myofascial release can address health complaints such as TMJ, chronic back pain, headaches, strains, and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Good to know
Most patients are surprised by how gentle myofascial release is. Some patients fall asleep during treatment. Others later go home and take a nap. Most patients find myofascial release to be a very relaxing form of treatment.
Myofascial release is not a traditional massage. Unequal muscle tension can compress nerves and muscles causing pain; myofascial release techniques are used to equalize muscle tension throughout the body. Progress is measured by a decrease in the patient's pain and by an improvement in overall posture.
